About Us

Water District 65

Water District 65 is an organized government entity created to distribute water consistently with water rights on record with the Idaho Department of Water Resources.

Water districts are the only water delivery entities specifically authorized to administer the delivery of Idaho water from public water sources.

Distribution of water within a water district is accomplished by the elected and appointed watermaster.

Water District 65 regulates Idaho surface-water diversions from the Payette River in addition to regulating surface-water diversions from Payette River tributaries upstream from the Payette River’s confluence with the Snake River.
